My deviantART Story

So, in celebration of this website's 14th birthday (dang, this place is old), people are describing how they first came across dA.  Here's my story.

Back in 2010, my neighbor and friend, , was telling me about this comic he found online.  I eventually caved, and looked it up.  That comic was "Night of the Were-Ed" by After about a month of hovering on that one page, I ventured deeper into deviantART.  

I shadowed the site until June 2011, when I created my own page, intending to write fanfiction and other stories.  That never came to fruition.  Instead, most of my popular submissions were minecraft screenshots. My first watch, , created a Nuzlocke run, which tossed me back into the world of Pokemon.  Searching for other nuzlocke comics, I came across one done by  

The fall of 2011, she posted an application for an original character tournament,  

I was hooked.

That oct dominated my life for its two years of running, honing my artistic skills, and also my writing.  Now, I've all but forgotten my original intentions, loving this site and the communities that have sprung up. Even though End Run is gone, other groups have come to my attention, and I'm busier than ever.
